What is Radiesse?
Radiesse® is an injectable substance made of calcium hydroxylapatite, a mineral component produced naturally by the body. It smoothes out defects on the face and hands by filling wrinkles, lifting the skin, and smoothing out faults.
Radiesse® is an injectable implant composed of a calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microsphere encased in a sodium carboxymethylcellulose carrier gel. It has a volume of around 30% CaHA and 70% carrier gel.
CaHA microspheres contain the same minerals as bones and teeth. They disintegrate naturally into phosphate and calcium ions, which the organism then metabolises. There is no possibility of an allergic response or rejection.
The gel is absorbed throughout time, and fibroblasts form. The resulting neocollagenesis process promotes the patient’s collagen’s gradual rise.
Where can it be treated?
Radiesse® has a high viscosity and flexibility, making it an ideal injectable for:
- Filling hollow wrinkles (nasolabial folds, expression lines, and lip commissure)
- Treatment of sagging skin (jowls, face, cheekbones)

Recovery Period of Radiesse Injection
Following treatment, recovery and downtime are minimal. All everyday activities can be resumed right away:
- Mild redness and swelling may emerge immediately, but they will decrease after a few hours.
- The therapy is painless, and a feeling of mild anaesthesia in the treated region may continue for a few hours after any local anaesthetics are delivered.
- Avoid extensive sun exposure for a few days following the treatment.
- A 15-day follow-up appointment is planned to examine any necessary modifications.
