Radiesse® is an injectable material based on calcium hydroxylapatite, a mineral component that the body naturally produces. It fills wrinkles, lifts the skin, and smoothes out flaws on the face and hands.

Radiesse® is an injectable implant made up of a synthetic-origin calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microsphere contained in a sodium carboxymethylcellulose carrier gel. Its volume is approximately 30% CaHA and 70% carrier gel.

CaHA microspheres are the same minerals found in bones and teeth. They naturally degrade into phosphate and calcium ions, which the organism subsequently metabolises. There is no risk of allergic reaction or rejection.

The gel is absorbed throughout time, and fibroblasts develop. The neocollagenesis process that is thus initiated encourages the patient’s collagen’s progressive increase.
